SMS Policy

NautiSignal

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This page describes NautiSignal’s text messaging (SMS) program: what messages we send, how consent is collected, and how to opt out. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What messages we send

NautiSignal sends three kinds of text messages, all tied to operating offshore fishing tournaments or to answering a question you asked us:

We do not send promotional or marketing text messages. The NautiSignal SMS program is strictly limited to the three message types above, each of which is transactional or a direct reply to you. It is never used for marketing, promotions, advertising, sweepstakes, raffles, giveaways, contests, prizes, polls, or sponsorship, and it never carries content from, or sent on behalf of, any third party. Audience-engagement features such as trivia, raffles, giveaways, live polls, shout-outs, and sponsor moments are part of NautiSignal’s live audio broadcast — they are delivered by voice to the tournament audience and are never sent by text message.

2. How consent is collected

For customer care replies, consent is the message you send us: if you text our inquiry number, you are asking us to reply, and we reply only to that conversation. We do not add your number to any other message type, and we do not use it for anything else.

For account verification codes and tournament operations messages, mobile phone numbers are collected on the NautiSignal captain setup form, which participants complete when registering a vessel for a tournament. The form is publicly viewable at:

https://app.nautisignal.com/captain/setup

A sample of the SMS consent step, showing exactly how it appears on that form, is published at nautisignal.com/sms-optin.html.

Consent to receive text messages is given by checking a separate, unchecked-by-default checkbox displayed next to the mobile phone field. The checkbox presents the following wording:

The form cannot be submitted without this box being checked, and the date and time of consent are recorded with the submission.

3. Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies based on your activity — for example, how often you sign in and how many catches your vessel reports during a tournament. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.

4. Opting out and getting help

Opting out of SMS does not affect your tournament participation, but one-time passcodes cannot be delivered by text after opting out; contact us for alternative sign-in arrangements.

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information shared with subprocessors solely to deliver the messaging service (for example, our SMS delivery provider) is limited to what is required to send the messages and is excluded from any such sharing.

5. Consent is not a condition of purchase

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any NautiSignal product or service.

6. Other forms on this website

The contact and quote request forms on this website include an optional phone field. Numbers provided there are used only to respond to your inquiry by voice call and are never enrolled in the SMS program described on this page.
